Which? Trusted Trader

Which? Trusted Traders is an endorsement scheme that recognises reputable traders who successfully pass their rigorous assessment process. Not just anyone can become endorsed. The assessment process involves:

  1. Credit Check

    A preliminary credit check to validate the financial health and stability of a sole trader / business.

  2. References

    Customer reference checks, chosen at random by a member of the Which? Trusted Traders endorsement team to ensure a breadth of consumers are consulted.

  3. Business Procedures

    A thorough examination of business and administrative procedures.

  4. Interview and Assessment

    We are visited in person by a Which? Trusted Traders assessor and interviewed.

  5. Code of Conduct

    The trader / business signing up to the scheme agrees to abide by the code of conduct and their terms and conditions.

  6. Endorsed Trader

    Once the trader / business  has passed the assessment process, only then will they be endorsed as a Which? Trusted Trader.

Flat Refurbishment

With our main residence in France, having purchased a property in London, both my wife and I were concerned on how we were going to manage the proposed refurbishment. Jack Koumis, of Parkview Construction was recommended to us. We consider him to be an absolute star. Jack and his team were great from start to finish. Once the keys were handed over, Parkview just got on with the job, Jack regularly kept us updated, we would occasionally travel to London to check on progress, other than this, the whole project was a pleasure. Parkview started on the date agreed, and completed on time as they said they would. The quality of the work is excellent and we feel confident in recommending Jack and Parkview.

Extensions

We anticipated the arrival of ‘the builders’ with some trepidation, especially on what was easily the largest building project we had undertaken but our anxieties were soon dispelled. Within a couple of weeks of the start of the project, Jack and his team seemed almost part of the family. Jack himself was very patient in answering our many questions and addressing our concerns and his team were on site every day and worked conscientiously and, considering what was being done, with less mess and disruption than we had feared. The work kept to Jack’s estimated timetable, the only delay being caused by our failure to have the necessary fittings/accessories on site on time, and we were satisfied with the quality and appearance of the end product.

House Refurbishment

Trustworthy and very professional

We used Parkview and Jack Koumis who runs it, in our previous property to repair extensive water damage caused by a leak. When we bought our new home, I didn’t even look for another company as I knew I wanted Jack to do the work. Our new home needed lots of fitted furniture to be removed, old carpet removal and floor preparation, walls stripping, re-plastering and repainting, a new bathroom, a wall knocking out and RSJ installing, electrics overhaul, sound proof flooring, floors sanding, staining and re-varnishing, water pump installation and more. It was a very big job. Jack and his guys were completely professional and we are delighted with the result. Jack is very accessible and quick to respond to messages and queries. He was always happy to meet on site to run through issues or things I wanted doing. Once the work was complete, he was extremely patient with all the ‘snagging’ I wanted doing. I had complete trust in him and hope he will do our kitchen extension in a few years. I could not recommend Parkview and Jack Koumis highly enough.

Loft Conversion

Dear Jack, This letter is to say “thank you very much” to both yourself and all the teams of men who worked so hard here on our loft extension. We greatly valued your regular visits at all stages of the project, and the way everything which arose, was promptly dealt with by yourself and the workmen. The men were all very easy to get along with and all were anxious to please. We appreciated their prompt time-keeping and willingness to cope with changes and difficulties that inevitably occurred. They certainly tried hard to limit disturbing us. It was also good to realise that all the independent inspectors were impressed with the quality of the building work at each relevant stage – it gave us necessary confidence in the progress too. With renewed thanks to all concerned – especially those who spent so many weeks here. They will be missed!
